OK, so it’s time to reveal what exactly trackur is/does. Trackur is the a new online reputation management tool developed by reputation management expert Andy Beal–that would be me, so I’ll dispense with the third person writing. :-)

I’ve tested so many online reputation monitoring tools in the past, and even created many lists of freely available reputation tracking web sites. However, I’ve been frustrated that there wasn’t an online monitoring tool that worked exactly how I wanted it to work. I tell you what I want to track–my brand, products, execs, etc–give you some filters for things that are important to me and what’s not, and then get a set of results that I can sort, bookmark, and share with others. Oh, and I’d like all of that without it costing me $10,000 per month, thank you very much!

So, after being disappointed time and time again, I decided to put my own money where my mouth is, and just have it built. Then it occurred to me that there are probably millions of people just like me. They want a clean, simple, and effective online reputation monitoring tool to notify them should their reputation come under attack, or a “Walt Mossberg” heap praise on their products. With that in mind, trackur will be available for anyone that knows the importance of tracking their online identity–for a modest fee.

Stay tuned, this week we’re going to attempt to graft the back-end with the user-interface and start internal testing. The next step will be a closed beta sometime in February, then a full release a few weeks later. If you’re interested in learning more, drop me an email andybeal AT gmail DOT com.

Can’t wait to get my hands on a copy. I spend some much time manually scanning the SERP for negative press.
