We’re delighted to roll out a new and improved Excluded Domains console for our Agency plan clients.

Now you’re able to manage excluded domains–spam sites, duplicate content, etc–globally across all client profiles, while giving your clients the ability to exclude domains for just their account.

This is how it works.

From the Exclude Domains link, you’ll now see a drop down list. The Global Exclude list lets you upload a list of domain names that you’d like to exclude across every single profile in your Agency account. It looks like this:

globalexclude.png

You can then select a client Profile from the drop down and–optionally–exclude domain names for just that client profile. They’ll have their own list, which looks like this:

Here’s the cool part. Only the master Agency account will see the list of Global Exclude domains–so you can filter out results without your clients knowing what’s been excluded. However, both the Agency account and the Profile will see the list of excluded domains that are unique to that Profile and either user can add or remove these domains. With this option, you give your clients the control to add their own list of excluded domains. And, of course, you can exclude a domain on the fly, by clicking the red “x” on any result.

We hope you’ll find this new feature valuable. You may also notice that Trackur is no longer mentioned inside the Agency dashboard–further allowing you to white-label your social media monitoring! :-)

We have many more new features in the pipeline and will keep you updated as we roll them out!

Just a quick, but exciting update to share with you. We’re increasing the number of saved searches across all Trackur plans!

Our Personal plan increases from 3 saved searches to 5.

Corporate users now have 25 saved searches–up from 15.

Our Enterprise plan now comes with a whopping 250 saved searches–previously 150.

All monthly pricing remains the same, making Trackur even better value!

Stay tuned for more exciting updates over the coming weeks.

PS. Suffice to say, our Agency plan remains at unlimited saved searches–it’s hard to increase that number! ;-)

If you’re already on our Agency Plan, we just made ourselves just a little less visible to your clients. Not only have we changed the login page, but we’re offering to register a unique domain name for you–so you can have your own branded monitoring solution:

If you’re not already on our Agency plan, then we’d be delighted to get you switched over. Until the end of the year, we’re offering new Agency customers a flat rate of $297 a month, with no long-term contracts.

One of the things that’s been consistent about Trackur’s social media monitoring since launch, is that we track around 90%+ of online media. You know, news, blogs, tweets, images, videos, etc.

But, what about that other 10%?

Well, we think we’ve shored that up, with the new option to submit your own RSS feed to Trackur.

The new Custom Feeds option lets you upload any valid RSS feed and have Trackur keep a watchful eye on it for mention of any of the keywords you are tracking.

Here are some example uses:

  • You want to monitor a message board for any mention of your brand? Simply submit its RSS feed to Trackur.
  • Want to keep track of any known issues at TripAdvisor? Monitor the keyword “bedbugs” or “mold” and Trackur will alert you if someone posts a review to your profile using those words.
  • Are there particular language specific sites you’d like Trackur to monitor? Upload the RSS feed, et voila!

We believe this new feature is going to make Trackur even more awesomer! :-)

Right now, the new feature is limited to Enterprise and Agency plans, will max out at 100 custom feeds per plan, and only supports RSS (we’re working on Atom support). As we test it, we may add the option to other plans in the future and remove the cap.

Whether you use the new feature alongside your existing Trackur monitoring, or set-up Custom Feeds as some kind of RSS reader on steroids, we think this new feature gets us closer to 100% monitoring of the things that are important to you!

UPDATE: This issue has now been resolved and all alerts have been restored.

Some Trackur customers are experiencing a problem with RSS and email alerts. We are working to identify and fix the problem and hope to have this back online shortly.

We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.

Trackur already offers a quick filter for removing a domain source from your dashboard. Now we’ve just beefed that up with new options for excluding domain names.

screen-shot-2009-10-19-at-12645-pm.pngYou can still use the “Exclude Domains” filter for the times you only need to remove one or two domain names, but you may find the new feature a little easier. Simply look for the red “x” next to any source that you wish to exclude from your Trackur results. Click that “x” and you won’t see that source in your results again!

screen-shot-2009-10-19-at-12839-pm.pngIf you make a mistake–say, you accidentally exclude “Twitter.com”–you can edit your list of excluded domain names by clicking the “Excluded Domains” link at the top right of your Trackur dashboard. Once there, you’ll see a list of all the domains you’ve excluded. You can add domains, remove, or even cut and paste your own list!

We hope you find the new option makes it a little easier to filter out duplication and spam results.

We have many more updates we’re working on, so stay tuned to this blog or our Twitter account!

screen-shot-2009-10-16-at-112243-am.pngWe’re delighted to announce a feature that many of our Agency plan clients have requested: client logins.

If you’re on our Agency plan, you can now grant access to a single profile, without having to share your master login credentials. For example, you can now set up your client “Blue Widgets Inc” with their own username and password. That username and password will grant them access to the corresponding “Profile” and they’ll be able to log in and use Trackur. Their access will be limited to just that profile.

We think this is going to be a huge benefit to our Agency customers. Effectively, you pay a single low monthly fee for unlimited use and unlimited client profiles, then, if you so wish, you can share your plan with your clients! If you have the type of client that needs more than just the reports you send them, you can now grant them access to Trackur–safe in the knowledge that the client can’t see any of your other client’s information!

We have more exciting upgrades in the works, so please stay tuned to this blog!

We’re constantly listening to your feedback and fine-tuning Trackur. Today, we’re excited to announce the following updates:

  1. All Trackur plans now update every 30 minutes. This is a huge improvement for our Personal and Corporate plans–which used to update 12 hours and 6 hours respectively. Now everyone gets close to real-time results in their Trackur dashboard!
  2. We’ve added identification of the type of item discovered. You’ll now see each result tagged with either News (for mainstream media and blogs), Media (for images and video), and Tweet (for Twitter results). This should make it easier for you to work through your dashboard.
  3. In case the tags are not enough, we’ve also changed the “Advanced Search” options so you can better refine the source of your Trackur results.

We continue to add new features to Trackur. If you have a suggestion, please share it with us!
