We’re working on a few other small changes and will keep you updated.

We’ve soft launched Trackur.com.
What does that mean? It means that Trackur is open for business and fully functional. We want to make sure the servers can handle the load and so will monitor things over the next week, before announcing the official launch.
What happens to Trackur Tracking?
This blog is now hosted in a separate server and new sub-domain: blog.trackur.com. We did this so that should you not be able to reach Trackur for any reason, you should be able to reach this blog for updates and support requests.
Thanks for trying Trackur. We hope it’s the only online reputation monitoring tool you’ll need!

I’m excited to report that Trackur is now in the hands of our first round of beta testers. Actually, “alpha” testers would be more appropriate as the half dozen people testing it are really seeing it at it’s first release. I know there are still a few bugs but I wanted them to tell us if there’s anything we’ve missed, anything broken, or just anything we could make more intuitive.
I really do want Trackur to be the easiest and most useful online reputation tracking tool available.
I know that many of you are anxious to get your hands on Trackur. We have 150+ requests to use Trackur, and I’ve only mentioned it on Twitter s0 far!
I hope to get all of you on Trackur very soon, and I promise that if you follow this blog (or my Twitter feed) you’ll get the scoop!
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this screenshot teaser…

OK, so it’s time to reveal what exactly trackur is/does. Trackur is the a new online reputation management tool developed by reputation management expert Andy Beal–that would be me, so I’ll dispense with the third person writing.
I’ve tested so many online reputation monitoring tools in the past, and even created many lists of freely available reputation tracking web sites. However, I’ve been frustrated that there wasn’t an online monitoring tool that worked exactly how I wanted it to work. I tell you what I want to track–my brand, products, execs, etc–give you some filters for things that are important to me and what’s not, and then get a set of results that I can sort, bookmark, and share with others. Oh, and I’d like all of that without it costing me $10,000 per month, thank you very much!
So, after being disappointed time and time again, I decided to put my own money where my mouth is, and just have it built. Then it occurred to me that there are probably millions of people just like me. They want a clean, simple, and effective online reputation monitoring tool to notify them should their reputation come under attack, or a “Walt Mossberg” heap praise on their products. With that in mind, trackur will be available for anyone that knows the importance of tracking their online identity–for a modest fee.
Stay tuned, this week we’re going to attempt to graft the back-end with the user-interface and start internal testing. The next step will be a closed beta sometime in February, then a full release a few weeks later. If you’re interested in learning more, drop me an email andybeal AT gmail DOT com.
